What Would You Tell Your Younger Self?

Mariah Eckley | Writer

Time never stops, and every moment becomes a distant memory. You will face many tough times, whether with friends, school, or other challenges. These instances will only make you stronger.

The lack of confidence contained now will be built up and turn you into a strong-willed young woman. In the future, hardships will occur, like the loss of someone very close to you. It will break your heart but make you want to live every day to the fullest and strive for the best.

Keep challenging yourself and working hard in school because it does pay off. You will get to be in college as a junior! It is all worth it. I know it is hard right now but remember to love every second of it.

The times you are enjoying now, I wish I could go back to the present. I miss being young and cushioned from a society full of judgment.

However, growing up is a part of life. You have amazing, loving, and hard-working parents who continue to show you their dedication every day. Never fail to show them you love them and spend time with them when you can.

Most importantly, love yourself because you are a work in progress and will one day accomplish all your physical and alternate goals. Never miss out on any opportunity, and keep thriving as an individual. I know you will be okay; just worry about yourself and do not let others bring you down.
