Words from the Editor

Alina Dewindt | Editor

When I’m outside, I see the flowers finally start to bloom with the prettiest of colors. The trees coming back from their winter hiatus bring back the color green. I feel the change in the weather going from a chilly, icy cold to a warm breeze that makes you want to take a nice, long walk in the forest or city. That’s when I realized... that my story is coming to an end.

Gosh! I don’t know where to start. Honestly, if anyone would’ve told me a year ago that I would become a writer and an editor for my college’s online newspaper, I would’ve laughed in your face. However, this experience will hold a special place in my heart because not only did I get to write about topics I love, but I also got to be a mentor to a bunch of bright young writers.

I feel grateful for this opportunity that Professor Heimann gave me to help these writers reach their full potential and push boundaries, and I truly hope that each of you enjoyed your time writing for the Paw Print as much as I enjoyed it.

Before I depart for my next adventure, I would like to say a few words. Kevin and Max, thank you for being the best editors I could ever ask for. To my fellow future editors and writers: never stop writing about what you love, and always believe in yourself.
