Under the leadership of Director of Student Life, Gene Eden, Schnecksville main campus clubs have joined forces at LCCC to host a carnival scheduled for Wednesday, April 30 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m..

Though LCCC has previously held carnivals, one club is taking on the task for the first time.

“Gene Eden approached Outdoors Club recently about doing another carnival like the one they did last spring semester, and Outdoors Club came to us thinking this could be something we could very easily collab on, make a good amount of money, and have fun with,” said Film Club President Nova Kuntzman.

Students can expect activities such as ring toss, face painting, a photobooth, rock painting, glitter tattooing, duck grabbing, treasure hunts, spot-the-bug, and much more.

Activities will be paid for by tickets which can be purchased at the entrance for $1 per ticket.

Food such as hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, and cookies will be available for sale during the event.

One student helping run the event is looking forward to food, but not for eating.

If you got a grade you weren’t so happy about, just recommend your professor and pie them. It’s gonna be fun!” said Film Club Vice President Victoria Halkias.

Halkias is most looking forward to Pie-A-Professor where students can unleash their feelings about the semester via whipped cream to the faces of faculty and staff such as Digital Media and Design Lab Coordinator Peter Sabino and Media and Communications Adjunct Professor Taylor Stakes.

Live music will be provided by the Vice President of Outdoors Club, DJ Frog.

“It’s the cheapest carnival you’ll ever go to,” said Halkias.

After you peruse the carnival, stick around for an outdoor movie showing. Votes for what movie will be shown can be cast by LCCC students on Film Club’s Instagram.

The event will be held outside of the Community Service Center (CSC), but has the potential to be moved to Barrier Hall’s Gym depending on the weather.
