The vast majority of students are busy people, even more so at a community college like LCCC. Balancing classes, work, extracurricular activities, and finding time to spend with the people you care about is a real challenge.

With 24 hours in a day, there is only so much time to accomplish everything you want to do. Keeping your priorities straight, especially as we enter this fall semester, is key to getting the most out of the day.

I always view starting a new semester as a chance to plan and schedule ahead. Staying proactive with schoolwork is a major goal of mine this semester. I am making an effort to use the calendar on Canvas to stay on track with my work.

Outside of school, I have been trying to find more time to spend with my friends. Being stuck working 5 nights a week, my time is limited.

Something I have been doing more recently to kill two birds with one stone is working out at the gym with my friends. I used to only go to the gym alone. Now I take my time at the gym as an opportunity to spend time with friends I care about and haven't gotten to talk to enough.

Finding time to include the people I care about in my day whenever I can, whether it is lunch, a study session, or going to get a lift in, has brought me closer to some of my friends than ever.
