Letter from the Editor
Shi Weinhold | Writer

Hello! My name is Shi Weinhold and I am excited to be one of the editors for the Fall 2026 semester.
This is my final semester at LCCC and I will really miss this place! I started my journey here as a transfer student and I have made my way back into the valley and I could not be happier!
Writing wasn't always something that came naturally to me. As a high school student, I felt that writing was something that they always pushed for us to do in a specific format. I feel that I have always been drawn to creative writing or writing about something that I "actually cared about."
Writing can be an outlet for people that do not always have the words to say. I have always been a fan of writing poetry because I feel that this is one way that I can get my feelings out without "feeling all the feelings."
This is why I feel that journalism is something that will never go away. We will always have an opinion about something, or need to be in the know of the latest thing.
As a reminder to myself and to those of you who are struggling to push through the semester, You got this! No matter what happens you can always take a step back to take in what is around you without feeling guilty about it.
To the writers this semester: Never forget that you have a voice! Be creative with what you write and find joy in what you create.
To our readers: Thank you so much for taking the time to read our pieces!
