LCCC hosted “Stronger Than Ever, An Afternoon of Resilience & Inspiration” on April 16. The event was held in room 205 in the Community Services Center.
Motivational speaker and LCCC student Isaiah Natale shared his remarkable journey of perseverance
with students, faculty, and staff in attendance. Natale, 26, wants to make a difference in the world by
uplifting people and letting them know they are not alone.
“I want other people going through hardships to know they’re not alone. We are all going through something, some of us just suffer in silence,” said Natale.
Through the hosting of “Stronger Than Ever,” students were able to watch one of their peers deliver a speech and inspire them to forgive and not let things break them down. Natale shared insights with fellow students that will help them get through life, no matter how hard it gets.
“The biggest thing is that it’s important to ask for help before you get to the point of needing it,” said Nicholas Toto, LCCC communications student and event attendee.
The event also featured LCCC counselor Elizabeth Lewis who taught attendees how to "build their resilience muscles" and approach challenges with confidence.
LCCC offers many events like “Stronger Than Ever” that allow students to get involved and learn important skills and information. Regardless of your major, attending events like “Stronger Than Ever” can leave a lasting impact on your journey.
