LCCC’s Counseling Center Creates A Pathway to Student Success

It’s no secret that students in college experience challenges balancing family, friends, school, and work obligations. For many students, this is an overwhelming time. This is where LCCC’s Counseling Center comes into play.
The Counseling Center offers a variety of resources, including individual counseling, to help students manage their mental health. These services are designed to support students in navigating their academic and personal challenges effectively.
“The Counseling Center also has local, state, and federal resources available on the LCCC Counseling Center website as well as suicide awareness prevention information,” said Jennifer Avramides, Student Support Generalist.
Additionally, all interactions at the counseling center are held in strict confidence, ensuring that students can share their concerns without fear of judgment.
Ashley (whose last name has been omitted to protect her identity), a student at LCCC, shares her experiences.
“It was scary to open up to a stranger, but I liked that it’s judgment free and provides the right advice,” she said.
Ashley also shared that the Counseling Center’s resources help reduce her stress and provide support in her daily life.
Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, but emergency services are usually available the same day. During the initial appointment, students will need to complete confidential forms, and the counselor will work with them to identify goals and potential assistance.
The Counseling Center is located in room 126 of the Student Services Center on the Schnecksville campus. Services are also available at the Morgan Center on Tuesdays and the Donley Center on Thursdays. For further information or additional assistance, contact the Counseling Center at 610-799-1895 or email counselingcenter@lccc.edu.
