On March 20, LCCC announced that The Morgan Center hired LCCC alumna Emma Hope as the new Financial Aid and Enrollment Generalist.
Hope's journey in higher education began in 2021 at LCCC, also at the Morgan Center, after earning her associate degree in psychology.
Amber E. Zuber, LCCC Director of Site Educational Services, is excited to have Hope back at the Morgan Center.
“I am thrilled to have Emma return to Morgan as our Financial Aid and Enrollment Generalist,” Zuber said. “She is an asset to our team since she was so involved during her time at LCCC as a student. She will be a great resource for students.”
Zuber shared that Hope will be responsible for helping and assisting students with FAFSA, The Morgan Scholarship, and as an Enrollment Generalist she will assist with the entire application and on-boarding process.
For Hope, coming back to LCCC was an easy decision.
“I loved my time here at LCCC,” she said. “Everything about it, the community, the people, and the environment, it kind of gave me a place to thrive. So when the opportunity presented itself to me that I could return, I really wanted to take it, especially to help my community being Tamaqua,” said Hope.
Hope explained that she loved working with students ever since she started college. Her work with student government and other organizations helped ignite her passion for higher education. According to Hope, college is a great time for students to find themselves.
Hope is excited to create an impact as the LCCC Morgan Financial Aid and Enrollment Generalist.
“My biggest goal would be to create an impact in this role,” she said. “I want to make sure I am out there in front of the students so they know I am here as a resource to help them, and I also want to help the Morgan Center community as a whole in whatever capacity I can.”
Hope is excited to begin her professional career where it all started–at The Morgan Center.
