Balancing college life with school, work, and personal responsibilities can be challenging and often leads to high levels of stress that can become difficult to manage. That’s where Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Counseling Center can aid in helping students with the guidance and support they need to navigate life’s challenges.
The LCCC Counseling Center offers free and confidential counseling services for all students, offering sessions both in person and through Zoom. This flexible approach allows for students to access support in the setting that they feel most comfortable, whether that’s on campus or from home.
The center encourages students to reach out for help when they or someone they know might need support.
A student who wished to remain anonymous stated, “At first I was hesitant to go to the counseling center, but after going for one session the counselor actually helped a lot more than I thought they would.”
According to their website, the LCCC Counseling Center and its staff are dedicated to developing a collaborative relationship with students in support of their educational, career, and personal goals.
The Counseling Center, located in Room 126 of the Student Services Center on the Schnecksville campus, also offers appointments at the Donley and Morgan sites. Counselors provide students with goal-focused support that typically last between six and eight sessions.
“It's a safe and confidential place to talk and share what you may be going through,” said Brian Delong, associate dean of student development. “Services are free and you can always try it and if you find it is not for you stop. There is no requirement to continue and you can always return again later if you do stop.”
The Center also connects with other professional off-campus providers to support students with further care if needed.
Whether a student struggles to manage coursework, faces challenges in their personal life, or is concerned about a friend, LCCC’s counseling center is committed to promoting mental health awareness and providing valuable resources for students.
