The Great Allentown Fair comes around for one week every year. Here’s a recap.

Friday September 4th, 2026 was free entry for 2 hours, that’s when we made our way in. At first

just walking around, seeing the camels and all the food available. There were a decent amount of people

around. The first place we stopped was a licorice shop. We bought some cinnamon licorice ($8) as a gift

for my grandmother.

After a while we decided to get some food, we got fried mozzarella on a stick ($10) and a small

fry ($7). The mozzarella was good, although a bit overpriced, the fries were bad, they were half raw and

oily.

After this we continued to walk around for a bit looking at the animals and some of the indoor

stands. We tried to see the butterfly house, but when we got there it was closing. By now we were

wrapping up, got a walking taco ($6) and that was amazing and so delicious.

Before we left the fair, we all got gyros with everything on it ($15). These gyros are the highlight

of the year, best we’ve ever had. After leaving we all split ways and I went to Wingstop to pick up some

dinner. Even though the fair never seems to last long enough it’s great to be able to go with people you

love and create new memories together.
