Sometimes, life can get pretty overwhelming when you're focusing on balancing classes, assignments, work, and even home life. This week, I wanted to give myself a break from everything and remind myself to appreciate the little things in life, so I watched the new animated movie “Hoppers” at AMC Theaters.
First off, did you know that for most movies, if you go to watch them before 4:00 pm, the tickets can be up to 20% off? That is an incredible deal for college students on a budget who want to go out without worrying about overspending.
“Hoppers” is about a girl named Mabel, a college student who uses special technology to “hop” her consciousness into a robotic beaver to save her local forest glade from the destruction of humanity.
During the movie, many people in the theater laughed, gasped, cried, and even screamed. It was such an amazing experience as well as an emotional rollercoaster. I could find myself laughing out loud at a lot of the scenes, and there were definitely some parts that kept me on my toes.
Even with all the funny jokes, they did an amazing job of mixing humor with real-world issues, such as humans affecting wildlife and natural habitats.
As people, we can get so caught up in life that we forget to take a break. Watching “Hoppers” reminded me that taking a break can make everything feel alright again.
