Fall Festivities

Fall is around the corner, and I could not be more excited about it! Starting Saturday, September 23, I will be breaking out my flannels and shamelessly ordering a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks. But what else is there to do? Well, I am here to tell you!
The first thing you must do during fall is visit a pumpkin patch. There are countless pumpkin patches throughout the Lehigh Valley, including small family businesses that are easily accessible in the countryside. After visiting a pumpkin patch, you can have a pumpkin carving contest with your friends and family. I did this last year, and it was so much fun, we have decided to do it again this fall!
The next thing you should consider is visiting nearby haunted attractions. I have always been a fan of Penhurst and Dorney Park’s haunted attractions because it feels like you are entering a new world for the night. These attractions include delicious food, music, and of course a good scare!
Lastly, an obvious fall staple is watching iconic horror movies, Halloween movies, and any Tim Burton film. Nothing will get you in the fall spirit like cozying up on the couch with your friends or family after making Pillsbury cookies, lighting a fall candle, and enjoying a thrilling adventure!
Fall can be stressful for many college students, but we must find ways to enjoy the small things in life! You are never too old to enjoy these activities, and don’t forget to dress up for Halloween!
