With the weather getting cooler, I tend to spend more time listening to music than usual. There’s just something about the crisp air and the leaves changing colors that really gives listening to music a different experience than the other seasons. With that being said, I’d like to share some of my favorite albums to listen to this autumn.
First and foremost, the newly released album by Nourished By Time, The Passionate Ones (2025), has been one of my personal favorites to spin as it becomes chillier outside. The old-school take on R&B gives off a nostalgic feel to many of the songs. Fall has always been a nostalgic time for me, as I recall my younger years and my excitement for Halloween. I would recommend this album to people who really like R&B and synthpop.
Another album great for autumn is Pink Moon (1972) by Nick Drake. The bare instrumentals and solo guitar performances really complements the cooler air and chillier mornings. The stripped-back, simplistic nature of the songs has really gotten me through homework assignments and drives back home after a stressful day. I would highly recommend this album to anyone who likes more softer tunes.
