Once known as Rialto Theater, a home for movies, Archer Music Hall has evolved into a creative hub in Allentown, breathing new life into the local arts scene. The venue is quickly becoming a platform for emerging performers to share their work and connect with a larger audience.
Since its opening on March 8, 2025, the venue has already cemented its support for Allentown’s local music scene by hosting everything from concerts with artists like R&B singer JoJo to disco and rave nights. The events attract a variety of audiences and ensure there’s something for everyone.
“We’re so excited about the impact Archer is already having on Allentown and the greater Lehigh Valley,” said Mike Rilley, General Manager of Archer Music Hall. “Seeing everyone dance, sing, and enjoy live music right here in these walls has been nothing short of incredible. We have a number of great shows already on the books and plan to host about 200 a year, so there will be plenty of options for everyone to see a show.”
Beyond its role as a performance space, Archer Music Hall functions as a third space for young adults in the city. It provides an environment that is neither home nor work, where young people can engage and meet.
For many, it offers a low-pressure setting to explore new music and create social connections.
“I think it makes it inviting with the kinds of bands they attract as well as the smaller space for a personable first-time experience or for those who have been there already,” said Rayna Leblanc, 18, a local high school student who recently attended the Hot To Go event. “I feel like a wide variety of bands will be really good for community building.”
Archer Music Hall is quickly becoming a cornerstone of Allentown’s cultural scene – a place where music, community, and opportunity intersect.
