An Inside Look at Spring’s earliest Trend Predictions

Embrace the sun as it caresses the earth, thaw away frosty memories of winter, and welcome the vibrant colors of spring! In the world of the hottest trends, clothing stores are starting to promote bathing suits and shorts in their markets. To prepare for the up-coming change in the season, here are some of the earliest style predictions in the latest fashion trends.

For years, trend predictors have followed the 20-year rule to determine what and when trends will become popular again. A traditional example of this is the resurgence of bold patterns seen in the late 1960s coming back into popularity during the 1980s. This trend cycle has been documented well through the recent rise of Y2K, Indie sleaze, and country styles. Up to this point, most of the 2020s fashion consists of low-rise jeans, velour tracksuits, cargo pants, mini-skirts, and baby tees. In many of the spring and summer catwalks, fashion contained fringes, suede, denim, and leather accents.

In 2024, the cycle continued with the early 2000s cowboy style due to Beyonce's credit of ushering country style back into popularity, (with the release of Cowboy Carter). Cowboy hats and boots have become more accessible due to the product's sell rate!

As trends move into 2025, the country style continues to make appearances on runways. The persistence of this trend can be seen in the excitement around Beyonce winning Album of the Year and also announcing her Cowboy Carter tour. Whether it is loved or hated, cowboy looks are expected to gallop their way into another year of fashion trends.
