Take Time to Destress
Samuel Uben | Writer
We're halfway through the fall 2022 semester at LCCC, which can be overwhelming. This time of year can be stressful for students who have multiple exams and assignments jumping at them without warning. All that pressure can quickly undo a person's mental health, but having a system in place to deal with the tension can help. Reach out to others. Talking to a friend or a professional can help alleviate stress. LCCC Students should also be aware of the services provided to them on campus. If you need help with assignments, you can visit the tutoring center. LCCC also offers free counseling with a trained professional. Set aside time to relax. Whether it’s watching something on Netflix or reading for fun, carve out time for some self-care. For example, I like to visit the library for a new book–and for peace and quiet. Start planning now so you can avoid future stressors. The spring semester is fast-approaching. Make sure to set up an appointment with your advisor about spring semester courses for 2023. Keep in mind the last date to withdraw from a class is Nov. 11th. As the semester winds down and the work piles up, remember that a break is right around the corner. Just try to take one day at a time.
